When i try start start sysaid from a client computer using the sysaid icon i recieve the following error:
" Windows can not find http:// xxxx:8080/login.jsp?j sessionid=16fjap587ybpv' make sure you typed the name correctly , and then try to search for a file click start button and then click search "
when i go directly to the link http:\\xxx:8080 and login with the right username and password there is no problem.
i tried to uninstall the sysaid client on the computer and then redeploy the client but this didn't help.

Hello Edwin, I think there is a space inserted in the address the agent is trying to access, this is what usually cause this issue. How did you deployed the agent? Please go to one of those machines with this issue, open the registry editor and go to HKEY LOCAL MACHINE > Software > Ilient > agent and post here a screenshot of the values. Thanks. Haim

Edwin,
Is this happening on one machine or in all machines you deployed the agent to?
Can you attach a copy of the error that comes up?
Thanks.
Haim

Edwin,
Thanks for the screenshots.
This is very odd, please try to un-deploy the agent, then manually remove the SysAid folder from the program files folder, and then restart the machine and re-deploy the agent.
If it doesn't work, please try to install firefox, as this can be a browser issue (rare, but can happen)
Best regards.
Haim

Ok Haim.
uninstall and removing the program files folder is already done. no result.
the computer is already running firefox.
it might be the problem that the computer is running IE 8.0
i will test a bit futher and let you know the outcome.
Edwin.

Edwin,
Please try to turn firefox as the default browser and see if SysAid is being opened.
We are just starting to test the agent with IE8 so i'm not sure how well the current version is working with it.
Best regards.

Haim.
i have investigated this problem i bit further.
it seems that this user has installed IE 8.0 beta on his computer and he has also installed firefox.
are there any known issues with IE 8.0 beta and sysaid client 5.6.0.4 ?
i think that this must be the problem because this is the only differece between this users computer and all the other computers.
Edwin.

Edwin,
As i posted before, we are just starting to do tests with IE8, so i'm not familiar with any known issues, also we did not received similar complaints.
Did you tried setting firefox as the default browser on this machine? you can do it under add/remove programs > set program access and defaults.

For all.
i have deinstalled IE 8.0 on the computer and the problem is solved.
so this is an issue with IE 8.0 or the combination Firefox and IE 8.0
Thanks for the help.
Edwin.
