In order to add a Ci Type filter to the the Help Desk List, please do the following:

1. Go to Help Desk -> List and click on the “Customize List” button (blue cogwheel icon).

2. In the Customize List window, click on “Add” (to the right of Filter Menus) and enter the following information in the appropriate fields:

Name: Ci (any name of your choice)
List Field: ci_id
Lookup Table: ci_attributes
Lookup Field: id
Lookup Caption: ci_name
Order By: ci_name

3. Click on “Close”.

4. Back in the Customize List window, you can save this “view” as a new view name, so you can always go back to the DEFAULT view if this one does does work.

5. Click on “Save”.

Wish I'd seen this before I tried to create them on my own. Now my CI List page doesn't load.

Clicking on the "Gear" doesn't load, anything on the page. I saw in a post about browsing directly to the list through its URL, and choosing set to default, but that's not working. It says it sets to default, and I click Save, but the page still won't load. The other pages for the CMDB module load just fine.

HELP!

(sorry if this doesn't go here, I'm a bit of a forum newbie)

Nevermind, I figured it out. It was a matter of correcting the URL to what was specific to our system. I feel dumb. Dumber.

OK, before I re-create the error that caused the issue I had, I'll posit my question, and hopefully someone can give me what I need.

On my CI List page I would like to add a column for the CI Sub Type, as well as the drop down list for sorting at the top. I've already created the subtypes, and I was able to successfully add the column. It's creating the drop-down listing at the top that I have questions about.
