Hi all!
I was just wondering if any you guys are using the new SMS API to integrate your local SMS provider.
We received our copy the other day, but I still don't know what to do with the code provided.
For example : To use our local providers api we have to send the following string - https://keyteq.no/sms/sendsms.php?user=xxxx&pass=yyyy&number=41100005&message=test&alias=Keyteq
I just can't figure out where I should put this information in the code. I understand that the username, password and gateway id are set in the IntegrationSMS.jsp page but where in the code do i point to the https address?
Another thing regarding the gateway id. Not one of the local providers I have contacted have such an id (we are located in Norway). Can the id be the https:// - string?
Finally you are asked to put the MySmsProvider.class to "WEB-INF\classes\com\ilient\util". Problem is that this folderpath does not exist and the WEB-INF folder actually exists at more than one location.
Any information to help me solve this one would be GREATLY appreciated

It will only be possible to integrate SysAid with an external SMS provider as of version 5.6.x of SysAid. However, we may be able to provide you with an unofficial upgrade patch which does support this capability. Can you therefore contact our support team at helpdesk@ilient.com for further details.

In order to add your company logo in SysAid, please do the following:
1. Copy your company logo to the ...\SysAidServer\root folder.
2. Go to Preferences > Customize > Appearance tab.
3. In the Main Logo URL field, enter the filename of your company logo.
4. Click on Save.

Hi,
Quite a long time passed, but you may still find this useful:
My company has been using Ozeki NG SMS Gateway for quite a long time (approx. more than a year) and it proved to be a very good solution for developing business plans. I can say that it is a very reliable software that you can use as a long-term solution. The only disadvantage is that is not a freeware.
They have recently developed a site describing solutions for adding SMS functionality to different applications, including SysAid:
http://www.sms-integration.com/p-19-sms.html (overview)
http://www.sms-integration.com/p-23-sms.html (integration guide)
Hope I could help.
Have a nice day!

Haim wrote:Hey again Atul.
1. SysAid currently support the following SMS providers:
Clickatell
SMS CENTER
Red Oxygen
If you have another SMS provider, you can either use the email to SMS function (most SMS servers support receiving emails and send SMS)
2. If your server provider supports email2SMS services you can put "email:" before your SMS number (e.g. email:23423423@your_cellphone_provider.com).
3. If you are using SMS gateway, then you will need to receive the gateway ID(API ID) from the SMS supplier, or using the SMS2EMAIL option as described in answer 2.
4. If your server does not support e-mail to SMS or its not supported by SysAid, we can create (for most providers) a customized code for your supplier, this is a custom development project.
5. For more information regarding customized projects, please contact our helpdesk at: helpdesk@ilient.com
Best regards
Option 2: Has not worked for us. Has anyone had this work for them?
Thanks

SMS Gateway or reseller is a computer based application (web Based, SMPP,API) you don’t need to have a dedicated computer to make use of it. You can use it on a shared computer. After you have saved all the contacts phone number list in the address book, you can comfortably send Bulk SMS http://mnatives.com
