Subject: Attaching ireports to our sysaid Derby db.

I'm quite new to ireports(used Crystal in the past). How do I "attach" create the connection in ireports to our derby db to manipulate edit reports? Is it possible to get the table structure of the DB?

you first need to setup a jdbc connection to the derby database.

Can anyone tell me what settings I need to use once I create the JDBC per the above link's instructions? For example, I've done the steps needed, but now I actually need to connect to the JDBC thru iReports. It is asking for the name of the database and the user name and password. I don't have a clue what this is. I've been all over this forum and I really don't understand why this has to be such a secret. I'm sort of frustrated.
