Removing the Third level category help  XML

Hi all,

I hope this isn't a repeat question or easily found within documentation!

I'd like to only use 2 levels of category selection in the SR form in the Service Desk.

How can I remove the third level category without having to remove each and every single option?

Is there a way I can edit the HTML file to simply remove it?

I did open submit-service-request.htm but I have been unsuccessful in trying to edit this.

Any tips?

Is there a better way to do this other than editing HTML? If so, please let me know!

Why don't you just de-select "Enable third level category" on the "Preferences" -> "Help desk settings" -> "General settings" page?

Doh.

Are there options for the other fields that I may want to remove such as Urgency, Assets, or Screenshots?

I want to say that I have looked, but from the above post, that might be half truth

No unfortunately there is no settings for this. Then you will have to use the custom html options and delete the fields code

Maybe I misunderstood your request but I don't think you need to edit the html. If you for instance open a service request you'll find a cogwheel in the icon bar called "Design". Clicking it opens a dialog which allows to design the SR view (and much more) to large extend.

Thank you for the follow up th but I believe you understood and answered appropriately before.

I was able to remove all of the fields from the submit-service-request.htm that I needed.
