'No Software Found' in software inventory  XML

Hello,

I have quite a few workstations that do not list their software inventory. When clicking the Software tab the only message shown is 'No Software Found' All workstations listed software on this tab at one point, but a good amount of them do not now. Not sure when this started because obviously I do not click the software tab on every asset every day! I can figure no rhyme or reason. All assets are at 5.1.08 agent release and the appropriate network ports are open. Redeploying the agent has not solved the issue.

Any insight? Thanks!

Hello John!
Welcome to the SysAid community.

Can you please tell me if there are other asset details (like hardware) on those assets or they are completely empty?

just software is empty - everything else has information.

That sound a bit strange...

Can you please open a service request on this issue at helpdesk@ilient.com and attach a screenshot of the software tab?

hey guys - looks like it will be fixed in the next version - apparently it is a known issue. Here is the response I got from Ilient:

Dear John Terribili,

Thank you for contacting SysAid support.

The situation which you have described has been verified as a know issue in our current version. Our Research and Development team is working on fixing this problem. When we release a new version including a fix to this issue, you will be notified.


Hopefully the next version comes soon. This issue really throws a wrench into my ability to determine what software is installed where and how many licenses are consumed for certain products.
