i have a situation like this.
SYSAID server need to be restarted or sysaid server service need to restarted from time to time
after restarting the server or the service the active assets goes offline till they restart.

To solve this issue i have to call the client and tell him/her to restart the computer or restart the service

Any ideas?

realized that;

For some reasons we have to restart the Sysaid Server Service cause it lock while adding Catalogs or deleting more than 4-5 SR at the same time. After restarting (10-15 seconds time) all the agents seems offline. The only way to get them alive to restart the service at the client machine or to restart the client OS.

Why this happens? Why restarting SysAid Server Service makes all the clients offline even the clients sends data every 30 seconds...???

I have had an issue like this, in the log i got this error

2007-10-29 00:00:44 Error in TSenderThread: Socket Error # 10054
Connection reset by peer.

The assets would show offline and would not reconnect automaticlly

I setup 3 different sysaid servers on 3 different networks, using XP Pro.. they where all small <15 assets
and reinstalled and upgraded them , with no solution to this issue
It seemed that only 4-5 assets would stay connected, and the only way to get the others back ,was to restart the agent on the offline assets

Recently i setup a forth, this one with 2000 server, new most resent install..5.06.03 have 13 assets currently installed so far...just started setup last week
ALL working and staying connected

When i was having this issue i assumed it was an XP limitation, and it looks like it may
Is anyone out there using xp pro that is keeping more that 4-5 assets connect ?

Can you please provide us with a screenshot of the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ilient\Agent registry key on a problematic client. Perhaps this will indicate something.
