Hey
We are testing Sysaid out in our company and are very pleased with the product this far. I have one problem when I send an email to the user from sysaid. The from name of the email show the name of the sysaid admin that sent the email, but the email address to the helpdesk. This will get problematic in outlook address cache if one admin sends a lot of email and suggest the helpdesk mail when you try to send email to that user.
Is it possible to change the from name to somthing like "Helpdesk" and not the admin that sendt the email? I have search the documentation and forum for a solution but have't found anything.

Within the helpdesk settings you can change the name of the admin, but not the user name. However this would affect the other areas as well as email, such as chat.
So rather than John Smith having his name within the name fields, it would read IT Helpdesk in first and last name. Would this be a possible solution for you?

That did work. But it would be nice to have a option to set from name under the email intergation settings page.

1. No problem for the fast reply.
2. Glad that has sorted the problem for you, there may be other ways around it but that was the first one that came to my head. You may find that one of the SysAid support team will make me look foolish!
3. I think what you need would be very useful for users and it would be worth adding this to the Feature Request forum for inclusion with a later release of SysAid.

We are using SysAid to track Human Resources issues at the University of Oklahoma. We are having exactly the same problem with the cache in Outlook Exchange attaching the names of admins to the helpdesk email. We cannot change the names of all the admins to "HelpDesk." Does anyone have another solution to this?

We are wanting the same thing. A lot of the time the end user see`s the name of the admin and then calls them directly, circumventing the help desk. With admin across the nation and different email domains for each it gets confusing
