Hi
since we upgraded to the latest version of SysAid, the automatic emailed reports are not generated any longer. The emails are sent, but all contain the message "Error generating report" etc. - any ideas as to what to look at
Thank you

reneinsa,
When you create the same reports manually, is the report being generated or do you receive the same error?
If you receive the same error, please send an email to helpdesk@sysaid.com with a short description of the issue and the ...\SysAidServer\root\WEB-INF\logs folder (zipped)
If you don't receive the answer, please try to delete the scheduled reports and re-create them.
Regards.
Haim

Hi guys
Yes I get the same error (this has started since updating to 6.5) - the error shows:
Re: Your Weekly Report on Categories with the most SRs could not be successfully compiled.
We welcome you to SysAid's automated scheduled reporting service! Unfortunately your Weekly Report on Categories with the most SRs could not be successfully generated. SysAid did not find any data for that requested report.
If you were expecting there to be data at the time the report was scheduled, please contact Ilient Support
I have just created a new thread to ask how to delete these generated reports.....
Thanks...

I have just done a test scheduling the Open/Closed Service Requests for a Period.
When I run the report it works and I get data displayed.
I scheduled the exact same report. Nothing happens. I don't even get an email.

Please send us the SysAid logs folder (...\SysAidServer\root\WEB-INF\logs) along with a short description of the issue.
I'm using scheduled reports with 6.5 and couldn't re-create the problem so we would like to find the reason it happens on your scheduled reports.
Regards.

I am current trying to see what I can do about this problem with Sysaid report scheduling in my company. I wasn't really sure reading this thread if there was a way this feature would work. It is my correct understanding that this is a bug which cannot be fixed at the moment? If so though is there a work around such as maybe recreating the jobs? Let me know if there is anything you guys can come up with and if you can answer a few of my questions concretely so I know there is nothing I can do at the moment.
Regards,
Gunther IT

Hey there.
In case some scheduled reports don't run at the scheduled time, please try to delete the scheduled report and re-create it, this should resolve the issue in most cases.
If it doesn't, please contact our support at helpdesk@SysAid.com with a short description of the issue and the ...\SysAidServer\root\WEB-INF\logs folder (zipped) for our review.
Regards.

I have had similar issues with the scheduled reports. I have found a little bug which I have reported to SysAid.
This is the scenario:
We have two domains integrated in SysAid. When creating the scheduled report it automatically inserts the name of the logged on user to receive the report via email. This is where the error came in.
The user is selected as domain\\username. The double \ is the problem. The reports never ran according to the schedule. Going back in to the report and seleting the user from the list fixed it. When creating a new scheduled report, in the mean time, don't just accept the user which is placed in the box. Select the user from the list.
Then it all works just fine.

My boss is not getting the error messages mentioned above anymore but now he isn't even getting the emails. Did something change on this feature from SysAid v6.0 to v6.5? If not do you have any other potential solutions to this problem?

Gunther IT,
Did re-creating the scheduled reports solved the issue?
Nothing has changed in the upgrade that should cause any issues with scheduled reports, but the upgrade process can cause those kind of issues in rare cases or it can surface issues that were hidden beforehand.
If re-creating the reports didn't resolve it, please contact our support and we will be glad to further investigate the issue.

No, now my it manager is not getting any error messages nor is he getting reports in an e-mail even after the job recreation. I have submitted a help desk request via phone but I haven't got any concrete answer as to what I could change to make this work. It has been over a week now.
