is there a way to customize the invitation message a users receives if I try to initiate a chat with an end user?

Hey EbroIN,
This can be edited in the translation file (under Preferences > Customize > Translate tab), simply download the file, locate the line
"chat - pre defined messages"
In this area, you will find all the messages you would like to edit. Simply modify it according to your needs and upload the file back.

Hi Ori,
unfortunatellly I cannot locate the string presented in the chat invitation window. I've attached a screenshot of the corresponding invitation window. Where is this string located or is it hardcoded in the SysAid Agent? I'm looking for a localized version of this dialog.
The trick is, I use SysAid in ENGLISH whereas all users default language is set to GERMAN. So this might be a problem, too.

Hi did you ever get a solution for this ?
I also want to change the chat user message
We only use chat one way administrator to user - we dont have the staff to be able to man a chat hotliine but want to be able to contact a user quickly and easily from within a SR
The message that gets sent to the user looks like 'spam' as it looks like it is from sysaid and doesnt mention our company name and has a typo in it - I want to correct the message to something like
'B&K IT support - an IT administrator would like to initiate an online chat session with you to dicuss your recent service request- please click yes to continue'
Cant find the text string in the translate file - or any preference settings

Hi David Porterfield,
In order to edit the massage that the user receive when the admin is initiating a chat session please add the code bellow in the translate file:
chat.secondary.message=%s is asking to open a chat session with you\n Are you sure you want to continue?
The "%s" is adding the requested administrator name.
You can edit the text after the = sign.
