I try to do a meeting in outlook for July 7th, but it shows up in people's calendars as July 2nd. Please advise.

Something I've noticed with Outlook is that when it starts wigging out, the best way to fix it is to restart the machine. Before you do that, determine whether or not it is an issue with the user profile or the application itself. Have someone else log into the machine and see if it does that to them too. If it does, restart and see if that fixes it. If not, it might be simpler to uninstall/reinstall the application. Takes about 10-15 minutes, but is way faster than tracking a bug.
Hope this helps.

Check the regional setting. Especially if it's a notebook.
Time will never match when users are using date/time setting from different continent. Or worse... different year.
Do you synchronize date/time setting in your network ?

Restart and Reinstall didn't work. We are syncronizing the time on the network, so everyone has the exact same time, including the servers. Is there some sort of update i can apply that may fix this? Please HELP!! The problem is with the CTO's computer, so it's urgent.

I don't know whether or not there is. I sure as hell hope so cause touchin each of those machines individualy would really suck. Be that the case, *bows head* I offer my condolences. Hope you got a lot of coffee for that job mate.
I wonder though, if you have it based on the server, would there be a setting on the server piece itself that would propagate through to the rest of the network? In theory it should work.
Obelix, do you know of such a setup, or is it just wishful thinking. In theory it should work.

Do you have a backup Domain Controller that may be set on a different time? Just a thought. Also, are they using the same version of Outlook? How many are experiencing the issue? If they send you a calendar item does it show up two hours behind?

A little more detail please.
The meeting you create, is that on your computer running which OS and what version of Outlook?
How many end users see the meeting as July 2nd?
What is the OS and version of outlook?
Are you using Exchange or a POP account?
I cannot see this as a time synchronization problem. July 7th is July 7th no matter where you are. Plus; a time zone problem would only place the time off by 12 hours max.

But wouldn't that only affect the time? Doesn't seem to make sense that this would create such a difference in the dates. Of course most things involved with computer don't really make sense. *cough*Microsoft*cough*

A user while working needed to now what day on specific date in the past. Having no calendar available (or plain lazy to find one), he cleverly use the calendar by double clicking the time on lower right desktop and went to the date he 'd like to know. He got the info he needed and continue working.
He forgot to go back to current date.
True story.

That makes sense. Users, with them, we have headaches. Without them, we are unemployed. A sad reality and a burden we must all carry. Still, we do get a few laughs out of them.
