I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this before I submit a bug request.
If I leave my browser on the list of SR's assigned to me, I can leave it sit there for hours and nothing happens.
However, If I click on one of the SR's and leave it sit there for hours, it will force me to re-login when I come to that webpage.

Do you want to increase the timeout interval to all pages or just to know why there's a difference in those pages?

Well if there is a timeout interval on the listing page, we haven't found it yet.
With that being said, if there is a way to increase the timeout interval while looking at a specific SR, I would like to increase that.

In order to change the timeout interval, edit the file:
...\SysAidServer\root\WEB-INF\conf\serverConf.xml.
You can find this file among the SysAid files on your computer.
Go to this file and after the line: webServerUser>false</webServerUser>
please add in a new line: <maxInactiveInterval>____</maxInactiveInterval>
Fill in the blank space (____) the timeout value of your choice in seconds.
Finally, restart the "SysAid Server" service. Now the interval you have chosen will be activated.

Is this method still valid?
I've set the value to 43200 (12 hours) but our administrators are still timing out during the day.

I had forgotten all about this post. I haven't had any problems since, and we're now on 8.5.03, so I assume it still works
