CI Relation Types

New CI Relation Type

Here you can add new relation types to describe the connections between CIs in your SysAid CMDB.

CI relationships work in two directions: what the CI affects, and what's affected by the CI. When you connect two CIs using a particular relationship type, one CI becomes the affecting CI and the other becomes the affected CI.

Examples for CI relation types you may want to add are:

  • Responsible for/Under the responsibility of
  • Owns/Owned by
  • Received by/Delivered to

Note that predefined CI relation types can't be edited.
