I think you are asking about this new feature described in the release notes..

"Create a template project with multiple tasks and re-launch the creation of the reoccurring events (e.g. gather multiple tasks for new employee
under one project template and instantly re-use them each time you required) "

I asked about this one and this was the answer I got back

"You can create “Notifications” under Task/Projects that would create a service request based on a template you define.
You can force that “Notification” every time you need the service request created."

The re-occuring events are a part of the tasks and project module (from the main menu, click on "taks/projects" and in under "tasks" you will have the option to add re-occurring events)

Best regards

I've read all this stuff and I still cant see how to create a re-occurring SR.

Is there somewhere I can go and quitely read up on how to do this,
or is the only documentation about this feature located here in the forums - complete with disjointed grammar and rushed explanations?

It seems I need to create a new task

create a notification,

and then have the notification generate the SR

is that right?

Has Sarah wrapped it up in http://www.ilient.com/sysforums/posts/list/576.page#2386

Thanks

The correct order would be to first create a notification and then create a task which will periodically generate that notification (under the Notification tab).

To get to THE page where the scheduling stuff appears for a new task do it like this:

Tasks / Projects > Projects > New project > Save the project > Open the project > Tasks > New Task > Notifications

for existing tasks do it like this:

Tasks / Projects > existint Project # > Tasks > Existing Task # > Notifications
