I'm trying to modify the notification "Email body to administrator regarding a Service Request" and was hoping to include the user's department in the email.

I can't seem to find any documentation on the variable that are available to use. I tried ${Department} but it didn't do anything.

Does anyone know if it is possible to include the department in these notifications?

Hi denwilliams,

I'm very sorry for the late response.

I tried finding the correct field to add to the notification but apparently there is no.

Hopefully it will.

This is a minor feature request and maybe we will be able to add it to our next update patch so I suggest you open a feature request for that.

Hi Alllll,

At the moment you can add the following to the notification in order to add the user's department to the notification but it's showing the key value instead of the name:
Request User Department: ${ReqUser.department}

I will contact our dev team to fix it.

anything new to this ${ReqUser.department} showing the Key Value and not the Caption ?

btw, ${ReqUser.location} has the same issue ... here the problem was somehow solved using ${Location} (i don't know if it is the right way to do it aslong as there is the other formula)

would appreciate if this would be soon solved !

The correct tag is ${ReqUser.department} - Shows the request user's department.

In a post awhile back this is what Itay said:

I am asking when it will be fixed so that the caption or name of the dept appears in the notification rather than the key value.
