I am using the admin group to administrate the permissions of the users. TO make sure that admin groups are not accidentally set to the wrong entries I use elaborate routing rules and configured the "New SR" form such that the admin group field is invisible.

It turns out that the group remains "None" if a new SR is started. As soon as I make the admin group field visible again, everything works appropriately.

Hello Thurstan.

I'v tested it and encountered the same issue my self so I have forwarded it to our R&D to be fixed for a future version of SysAid.

Meanwhile, you can simple keep the "admin group" field in the form.

Best regards.
Haim

just a thought, i am not near my sysaid installation at the moment, but does the same happen if you put it on another tab and hide that tab? or at worst put the field on the last tab.

Techguy:

Good idea! Unfortunately I currently can not check if this works because of the bug I described under http://www.ilient.com/Sysforums/posts/list/299.page#805. Maybe somebody else could check if this would work.

Eli,

I thought this has to be considered as a bug. Moreover I can not use the work around because of the other bug I already cited.

Therefore I am pretty interested in getting a solution soon.

I have just tried in firefox 2.0.0.12 and I still get the same problem as soon as you select a page from the drop down, it refreshes and goes back to the page you enterd the customize icon from.
