We use an assortment of browsers & versions at our company, and with the release of 7.0, there have been different issues arising on different browsers.

I need to know exactly which browsers, and what versions of each, are officially supported by SysAid?

We use: Firefox (3 through 4b1), IE (6 through 9), Chrome (5-6), Safari (5), and to a much lesser extent, Opera.

Just to be aware, SyAid does NOT work on the new Firefox 4b1. It is impossible to switch between tabs within the Service Desk menu. Switching between tabs also seems slow on Firefox 3.6.6 when compared to Chrome, but at least it works there.

Hi Mac,

Thank you for the information about FF 4b1, I will forward it to the write direction

We are supporting IE 6-8, all Firefox releases except 4beta
I also know it works fine on Chrome 5.

About all the rest, probably the other users can help you with that because they have more experience.

Best Regards,
Itay

We have several users reporting issues with Safari on the Mac as well. Seeing as that's the default Mac browser I'd be surprised if it wasn't supported.

Those different flavour of browsers better not exist in the same machine.

I have issued having firefox and ie co-exist. I solved it by downgrading one of them.

That is not a bug, it's a feature...

I was hoping to get a list of fully tested and officially supported browsers by SysAid...and it sounds like that would be IE 6-8 & Firefox<4b1.
However, I too have noticed that Chrome 5 seems to work well, and now use it exclusively for SysAid as it doesn't work with Firefox 4b1...but this version is still in beta.

And no, we (probably!) don't use all the browsers on one machine...each user of SysAid may have an assortment of browsers, but most are stuck with IE 8 at the moment.

Bigmac...

When I was having problem we too only use one browser (firefox) at the time. The problem with coexisting browser still happen because :
1. IE is installed by default.
2. Autoupdate windows upgraded IE.

And the weirdest part is :
3. Browsers seems to share programs with each other.

Firefox seems to depend on some capability of IE, Chrome seems to use some of firefox's module...

So heads up.

That is not a bug, it's a feature...

Safari on the Mac does not seem to work in our environment, (Just a blank page). Firefox works, don't seem to have any issues on our windows machines that I know of as we worked those out with support a couple of days ag0, I think they were related to the SSO.
