Create new Service Request for Backup Verification  XML

Hi all,

I'm wondering if there is a way to create a new service request, automatically, for backup verification (for example). When my BackupExec finishes the bakcup job, it will create a new service request for verification

If job fails, create a new service request but in a different category.

Hi possebon,

Are you asking about the tool in Preferences > Integration > Backup that backups SysAid or a different tool?

If so, you can use the option to send email to... when success or failure.

Hi Itay,

Now, I mean using an external tool to implement backup of other things (my ERP or file server).

In my case I use Symantec BackupExec. I can set to run a batch file, for example, after job is done.

Hi

what I have done is i just have all my my backup logs goign to backupexec@mycompany.com so you can do that. I not sure if in backup exec you can specify different email address dependent on the condition.

Within sysaid you can integrate another email account by going to
preference
integration
and the default tab is Email and you can click add an email account and populate from there.

Once you have sysaid integrating with another email address as above you can assign different categories and route them accordingly

Hi Jonathan,

I'm a new user of SysAid and certainly don't know all features of it.

This email integration, will be able to fetch the mails, and considering the subject or the body message, create new service requests (different categories, in case of success or errors) ?
