Back again with another question. I have a site that feeds off our main domain controller for user authentication but is not directly connected to that DC for the users' files. Whenever I try to deploy to these assets I get an error. If I remember right it is something about a registry connection error. The deployment software does recognize the laptops but will not install the software. Any thoughts on how to clear this up?
EDIT: Attached a pic of the error.

So, if Windows 7 and (i think) Vista, it is disabled by default. You can either turn it on manually or use a Group Policy to turn it on.
Also there could be firewall issues, try turning the firewall off and check again if the above doesnt work. A quick search will get you the ports you need.
Hi and welcome to our community!
You can also check out our remote discovery service which was designed to perform deployments in remote networks where Sysaid server may encounter firewall or other issues.
Go to preference --> downloads to learn more about the remote discovery tool
Still having some issues. I ran the remote discovery service and I was under the impression that it would appear under Network Discovery. Is there something that I missing here?
EDIT: Tried deploying again and the same error occured. As far seeing the comps in the deployment list, I can see them. I just can't deploy to them. Just wanted to add that in for clairification.

I let the deploy run over lunch and it hit some more comps with the agent. There are still a few that did not install but that is probaly because they are not actully turned on or no longer active. I am not going to call this one done yet. I will be back witha final update. Thanks for the suggestions/help thus far.
Did you managed to deploy the agent on all assets?
Sorry for the amount of time between reply. Dropped the deployment for a while to work out some other issues. Yes, it seems like I have gotten it deployed to all of the assets. I am going to have to double check by doing inventory.
I am having some issues getting SysAid to deploy to some laptops that I have. Out of the group of 5 that I am currently working with 4 will not allow the install from the Delpoyment Service. I am trying to avoid adding SysAid to our startup script because it is already so long. Are there any other solutions that I could try? Is there perhaps an exeacutable that I could run locally on the machine?

You can deploy/install the SysAid agent by going to Preferences--> Downloads--> "Download SysAid Agent for Windows". Save that executable and install it on the machines locally.

Still having some trouble getting SysAid to act correctly on a laptop. Here is screen shot of the error that I get after trying to opent he desktop shorcut. The other laptops that I installed manually worked just fine. The reason that I am having to go witht the manual install methoed is that I get a Registry Connection error when tryign to deploy otherwise. Any thoughts?

Please disreguard.
Note to self: Helps if you turn the firewall off.
