I am currently testing the Sysaid Free Edition and wonder how to disable the sound in the chat?

I did read the guide at http://www.ilient.com/Sysforums/templates/default/help/files/Guide_Chat.htm

When I as administrator open the Chat console some irritating sound is playing.
No end users are online, so I have no clue why this is happening.
Though I can understand the sound if there is somebody who requests a chat session.

Thanks,
Matthijs

Dear matthys70,

I will forward it to our Feature request forum.

Meanwhile the work around is when closing the chat to remove the Effects check box, refer to my screen shot it will remember it and the next time you log in it won't do the sound but you should remember to check it back in order too hear when someone is contacting chat.

Thanks Inna.

When I am in the Chat console it doesn't matter if I enable/disable the "Effects"... sound is going on.

I do have to say we have a total Linux environment, also the workstation we work with.
And I think the main focus of SysAid is MS windows, which is logic I guess.

Thanks,
Matthijs

matthys70,

The problem sounds like it is related to the web browser. Which browsers are you using? I can tell you that it should be working fine on Firefox, regardless if it is running on Windows or Linux.
Can you try clearing the browser's cache and see if that solves the problem?

Thanks,
Joseph.
