Hello everyone,

I just would like to know if I am the only one who notice incorrect or missing info in the Asset part?
Now I have to say that about 95% of our machines are running Linux, so using the incl. agent script to readout and send to Sysaid server.

I already address the displayed and reported memory to Sysaid, which in many cases are not the same.
For example if the PC has 2x 1 GB is should say (in my opinion) 2048 MB, and not 1932 MB or whatever.
And you don't want to know what kind or report you get when you do "Software/Hardware Inventory" on memory.
Strangely in the "Asset Details" report the memory is mentioned correct...

I notice I cannot see the IP address when having the details of an asset (it's not under Information or Hardware).
However it does if it's a windows machine, so something is wrong? Of course IP address are visible in the Asset List.
BTW... I miss printing this Asset List (printing in columns), I only can do a export to CSV and print from worksheet.

PS .. to give you an idea, it shows to me: Network MAC Addresses: 00:13:72:26:A1:77

Network detection seems to be a problem, I also have a machine with 2 network-cards and has also a VPN connection.
The network card are not detected at all, only the IP for the VPN is mentioned in the Asset List.
It's not even mentioned in the "Asset Details" report... where I would expect all hardware to be (incl. network).

BTW .. I also notice that if I sort on IP Addres in the Asset List, xxx.3 is in between xxx.29 and xxx.30

Thanks,
Matthijs

Thanks, but so far the required information is already in the output of lshw. It's only not picked up by sysaid or in a incorrect way

For example the network part I mention, which only shows a single MAC address

For the above one it shows only the MAC Address of the 1st card -> Network MAC Addresses: 00:10:5A:B3:C4:F4
No IP address mention, only in the Asset List and there it mentions the IP address of the VPN tunel.
