Using domain administrator credentials with the Remote Discover tool for version 8. Sysaid is on a windows 2003 server and the clients are Windows 7.
This is all I get for all the clients:
Unavailable host - (name of computer)
Any ideas? Does the administrator need special credentials that I missed?
Thanks in advance.

Hi succorso,
Sorry for the delay in response.
Please add screenshots so we can better understand your issue.
We had an issue in SysAid v8.0.06 with the discovery service that was suppose to be fixed in v8.0.07.
Looking forward to hearing.

Dear succorso,
As we had some updates in v8.0.07 regarding the WMI tool, please upgrade and let us know if it resolved your issue.

Thanks for the link. Is there a free edition of 8.0.07? I was told this version would help me deploy the client software as I have been unable to do that.

Hehe. That was for version 8.0.05. I took it upon myself to decrypt the url and see if the 8.0.07 version was downloadable. With considerable skill and computing power, NOT, I found the correct URL at http://pr2.ilient.com/down/SysAidServerPatchFreev8.0.07.exe.

8.0.07 did not help with remote discovery. I am still unable to remotely deploy the Sysaid client.

I dont know your situation, but i have had issues where a user was setup to use encryption but the server and network weren't this caused some errors that prevented him from doing any form of remote management. check the user you are using to discover clients with for the encryption option and turn it off if the network is not configured to use it. then try to perform the discovery. that is just one of a few things that will prevent an otherwise administrative user from accessing System shares.
