Have you ever wanted the pretty graphs from your SysAid dashboard to be visible whatever you are doing?
Well now you can with my new plugin for yahoo widgets "SysAid LiveStats".
You can place the graphs wherever you like on the screen and can even see through them!
See the screenshot below.
To use this widget first download yahoo widgets from here:- http://widgets.yahoo.com/download/
Then download the attached zip file and extract it to "My Documents/My Widgets" Folder
Go in to My Documents\My Widgets\SysAid LiveStats\Contents and double click on sysaid.kon
You will need to set up a user with read only access to your ilient database supply this username and password and database name in the preferences and away you go!
Notes:-
This is not an official Ilient product, it is my own workings. Feel free to change it at will. If you do anything clever with it post it back to the forum for us all to enjoy.
This version only supports the MS-SQL database, feel free to hack the source for other database types and post the connection
string back to the forum and I wil put them in to future verions.
The toolbar does nothing at all in this version! - you can turn it of in preferences.
You will need to set up a user with read only access to your ilient database.
Have fun!
I will do my best to answer any questions you may have, post any questions you have to this topic, Also post any ideas you have for enhancement (I can't promise I will have time, but we will see).

are you going to try it Obelix? I would be interested to know if it works for you.
Maybe I over-estimated demand for such an app as you seem to be the only person who has even shown an interest in it!
If you are not running MS-SQL as your database let me know and we will try and find the right connection string for your db.

Congratulation techguy -- this looks like a great tool !
I'm trying to install it now but I need some support:
I receive the attached error message. I'm trying to connect to MS SQL Server. I think its about missing ADO provider. Do you have any instructions on how to install such ADO provider ?

ignore the post above, for it to work on vista the provider connection string needs changing
open main.js
find the line oSqlConnection.open("Provider=SQLNCLI;Data Source=" + servername + ";Database="+database+";Uid="+username+";Pwd="+password+";");
put // infront of the line
and take away the // from the line below
oSqlConnection.open("Provider=sqloledb;Data Source=" + servername + ";Initial Catalog="+database+";User Id="+username+";Password="+password+";");
save main.js and reload the widget.
Or use the new version I have provided below, which has the debug window turned off (ooohps I forgot on the previous release)

Good god... forgive the overlook.
I didn't watch the thread so I missed your question until Lev brought it up again.
It's a great idea bro... but I am looking for something more centralized. If it's for me the portal would suffice.
And no... you do not overestimate. They just probably haven't realized the full potential of it.
I mean one could build their own private NOC with this !
That's universally cool, bro.
When they provide me with my own room and some monitors to spare, I sure will revisit this solution and build my own "command center".
The force is strong with you...

What would be nice is if with something like this it would display full screen each chart in turn in a delayed format
Ie chart 1, then after 20 seconds do chart 2 etc
(I realise this is an old post, i've only just found it)
