Software/Hardware Inventory - some item types generate internal error in reports  XML

I was playing around whit Analyzer, and found some strange issues whitin it.


If i make a Software/Hardware Inventory report - most of the reports are running fine,
but some give the following error in the browser:

Internal error while executing report (Inventory).


I did checked back the logs and found some clues,
but they are not too much information for me:

in case of Display Adapter type - the logs are the following:

Hi Saimonsais, Sorry no-one got back to you sooner.
Well spotted!

I will raise this as an issue with the helpdesk, and in the mean time here is how to fix that report.
Go in to the manager portal an select Design Reports,



Select Software/Hardware Inventory
Click on the edit report icon
Click on the script tab and change the line that says

and replace it with


Then click apply and close the window (The ok button seems to be broken too at the moment )

There you go !

Techguy, you are right on the money as always, as your service request helped a lot, both in getting this issue to us as well as in understanding the source of this issue (still not sure how you figured this out).

By the way, sadly I dont have manager portal, so I still look forward for a solution for those errors ...
