v8.1.02 Pro Plus Edition

Hi,

I'm exporting a list of helpdesk activities with the Excel Button to a CSV file. The problem is that every field with a line feed starts in Excel a new line. So my list is rubbish. How can I fix this? Thanks in advance!

Kind regards
Michel

Hi, I am adding a screen shoot here by to explain how you can solve this issue

Actually sysaid exports the data fine, this is more of a view/field translation issue

When you export using office, the csv file opens up in excel , by default you see multipull rows (line feed between) as one raw

Example : on the description in the attached screen shoot I made
Service request 113 and 114 where sampled on the description field with:
Test1 and 1 line feed 2 line feed 3....etc...(113) ,
and test2 and 1 line feed 2 line feed 3....etc... (114)

Actually you will see on the export initially (in the excel example) under description on 113 : test1 only! , and on 114 : test2 only! (Under the description value)

If you will follow my explanation you will solve this quite quickly :

With office (Microsoft and excel) :
on the screen shoot 1. Mark the upper triangle this will paint horizontal + vertical 2. Between rows 1 and 2 point your mouse marker and double click it
This will open up the rest of the values (which were "hidden" from you before)

With open office : note marking the check boxes opening up before the table generates
Mark : coma + space > proceed

This will solve this issue
Then.... you can resize your colmons at free will to best suite your wishes (offcourse save the document)
Hope this helps you

Hi, and thanks for answering. But this is not my problem. My Problem is that after a Linefeed, for example in the Description Row, Excel is starting a new cell in the first Row.
Example:

It should look like Pic1 but looks like Pic2.
