Hi, I have created a KB item with a link to a youtube video. This KB article is only for internal use, so I have unticked the 'publish this article in the SSP' option.
Am I right in thinking that the KB article is now only viewable through Help Desk -> KnowledgeBase?
If so, the link is not 'clickable' (I have set it up as a link also)
Any help is appreciated

Thank you for your Post,
On the admin helpdesk side the items are in plain text for all admins that have the permissions to create, modify and purge knowledge base items.
If you wish have this link active you will need to deny the admins permissions to create, modify or purge knowledge base items.
Admins that have only viewing permissions to the knowledge base see the items in html.
To set the permission please click on the admins user name in the User Management --> Administrators --> click on a username . then go to the permission tab and uncheck the two boxes that addressing the knowledge base permissions.
If you are using group permissions, please set the permissions in the group permissions.
Hope this answers your question,

Same problem here. We only use the Knowledge Base for Admins. Over the years we have filled the KB with links to online tech guides as well as
links to things stored in local shared folders.
All of our Admins need to be able to view them in READ mode, but still to be able to create/edit/delete items.

Still having the same issue.
I would like to be able to publish youtube training videos for internal use on the KB.
I have unselected 'publish this article in the SSP', therefore the article will only be viewable in Help Desk --> KnowledgeBase.
However, the link to the youtube video is just text that is not clickable. The 'link' has to be copied and pasted into a browser to view.
I have unchecked the two boxes that addressing the knowledge base permissions.
I do not use group permissions.

Hi carlr,
You can hold CTRL while clicking that link to get it opened in a new window/tab...

Hi carkr and scumgrief,
We are currently working on the next release, that will include significant UI improvements and additional functionality in the KB module.
For further information and screenshot, please refer to this post:
