Hope this is the right place for this.
We would like if possible to display knowledgbase article ID on the KB article itself so we can link to them externaly - eg in emails without having to direct to login and then find the article they need in the list.
We can use http://sysaid:8080/ShowFAQ.jsp?id=2 - which would display the knowledgbase article with the ID of 2 - which is great and saves alot of time. The only issue is it would seem to find the ID, you need to look at the source of the KB article.
I noticed on the source code of each article is the following:
I have changed this to show the following:
So now when you look at the article it displays the heading above and the ID. Just what I wanted.
However that is only going to change it on an article by article view - and so I think I need to change it on a wider view.
I guess the headings in the FAQ input form - feed into some form of template or the default built up from a script? Is there a way of changing somewhere within the template to default the id value to not be hidden?
Its a small fix that would help me and my users - while reccomending the KB articles have a perma link assigned to each with a number to quickly link and display - feature request perhaps?
