Normally European users will enter their mobile/text numbers using the international format: +45123456789
However, SysAid does not send when the + (plus symbol) precedes the number.
I have to remove the plus from the users "Text Message number" field.
If not, then I get the error:
2012-03-08 19:54:11,492 [http-80-1] ERROR com.ilient - Exception
java.lang.Exception: Failed to send SMS to clickatell400
at com.ilient.util.ClickatellProvider.sendSMS(Unknown Source)
at com.ilient.monitoring.Y.a(Unknown Source)
Can you please make SysAid check for the presence of + in number and remove when submitting number to Clickatell gateway?
I cannot expect users to change from the accepted standard format when entering some numbers in SysAid users settings.
I was actually not aware that Clickatell fails to get the plus sign in the number, within the URL. I have therefore went ahead and tested it with a clickatell account we use internally.
I was able to get it to send to my mobile number with and without the plus sign, so there shouldn't be any problem in you case either.
Please contact your account manager and we'll troubleshoot your issue specifically.
