Hi Sysaiders,

Is it posseble to change the name of an asset, i have done this but after some time it changes back.
I think the agent sends the name again or something because is does this all the time.

This is a problem for us because we monitor multiple sites with more then 50 servers of the same name .
I hope someone can help me with this or offer a good workarround!

So there's around 50 server with the same name but all different locations? There's a location field for that and it can be displayed when viewing assets.

Yes, thats right.

We manage servers for different customers and all servers have the same name.
The problem is when i get a mail for a monitoring error, it also displays the asset name so there is no feedback to wich customers it's about.

When i change the location name it also does not show this in the mail.
