Hi there

i found that for deployment i need the following ports to be open
TCP 139
TCP 445
UDP 137
UDP 138
UDP 8193

But, what about sysaid agent?

I mean, when user dclick on the sysaid icon, or press the default F11 key, browser will (it actually does) open at the right url.

At the moment, my users just press f11 key, but i cannot see anything in assett management, except for those pc in the same dmz of the server.
So, i guess i should open some ports,

BUT WHICH??

PLS HELP. THX A LOT

(i'm using v6.5.06 in a worgroup environment)

Dear henrycow,

In order for the remote computer to be able to report back to SysAid server they need to be able to access the URL you have deployed the agent with.

Meaning that if you open a browser on the remote computer and enter the SysAid server URL you will be able to reach SysAid server.

The computers that currently are not able to report back probable are not able to reach the SysAid server URL at all not even using a web browser.
You did not provide a lot of information on the network but for example if you would like for out side computers to be able to report back to your SysAid server you will need to have an external IP address for your SysAid server.

Thanks
Sarah

That's right , i missed "some" infos...

the server is in the DMZ "A"
client pc for user profiles are in DMZ "B"
client pc for admin profile are in DMZ "C"

from dmz A & B clients can connect to port 80 on the sysaid server (via lan and browser)

from dmz A & B sysaid agent calls the right web page (lan) but on sysaid server i do not see any assett created in assett management. While i can see some assetts that connect to the server, laying in the same DMZ A.

From DMZ C (Admins) i cannot call user pc using sysaid remote control viewer.

Hope this can be helpful
