Dear support,

The new version of Sysaid has WMI intergation and I am wondering if there is any way of adding I/O performance to the current monitoring existing items? I guess it needs to be a cusomized taks or will a script can help here?

I/O performance to the current monitoring existing items as to your question is handled via the monitoring module
If you have the monitoring module and licenses as to assets under servers (monitoring > servers) you can either edit an existing asset or create a new one under monitoring
In the Performance tab in that part (performance.JPG) you can actually define : hard disk, CPU, memory i/o and define a threshold

You can also define more advanced options , and this is found in the online help:

With that said you can define:
Notifications - to be sent to specific users to let them know the state of the device
Bind that to escalation rules perhaps to open a service request

With the ITIL module you can also create a change request according to these steps

And in general the options are wide and possible
It all depends on how you configure the system

Hi there,

I do have this information already and we are licensed to use the full monitoring module. However the I/O speeds are not part of your default list and I guess they can only be integrated via a script? I am onlu asking if this is possible or not so a customized graph can be created from a customized monitoring?

You could actually create a script for this (the script should be built by you)

Under the tab Custom monitoring (monitoring > servers > choose monitoring you defined > Custom monitoring tab)
This script needs to be under the asset (agent pc/station) in the sysaid > root folder (BTW this is supported only for the enterprise version)

Description of the update you need to choose:

In the Result Type: Graph will give you a visual outcome while on/off (from the drop down) will give you on/off operation
Description: will specify the name of the Custom monitoring
Script File Name : the name of the script file (example: 1.vb) .
Warning threshold : number you define as to the script (in your case speed interval)
Warning notification : you need to chose from what you defined under monitoring > notifications
Error threshold : number you define as to the script (in your case speed interval)

Unfortunately this function is available ONLY to enterprise edition
