This is now the third iteration of SysAid On Demand that has the table view of the Knowledge Base for not only admins, but for end users. Worse still, is that not only is searching for KB articles more difficult, but when they click on them, they appear editable to the end user and admin.
For nearly 2 years prior to this past fall, there was a tree view, where you had article topics on one side of the screen, and when you clicked on them, the content showed on the right side. This view needs to be put back in, like right now. This current view is not user friendly or appealing in terms of look and usability. My users are now not even bothering to use it because in short, it sucks.
I have mentioned this on here before, and I see that I am not the only one who does not like this. Why is there not a legacy view to see the old way?

We are working on it, We invited you all to 2 roundtable discussions on this.
In the last one a few weeks ago, we finalized the design and launched the development which will be available real soon in the on demand solution and later this year in the installed solution.
Attached one of the screenshots for end users to show you the design of what is planned.
The tree is coming back - but in a much better UI and with additional functionality

Out of interest why is there such a delay for those who host their own
Many of us are not on the online who want this functionality!

Hi wka,
First, the KB UI in Cloud and in installed edition will come out close together - there won't be such a delay.....
It takes time and there is process from the moment the development is completed until it is bundled into an upgrade package that supports all OS types and database types.
Our Cloud solution is managed by us and is in a specific configuration allowing us to make the developments available quicker - in much more cycles per year without to much additional overhead on our side.
This is becoming more and more common in the Cloud era we are part of :)
