I am new to SysAid, and just completed installing SysAid Pro and was wondering if the following scenario is possible.

The helpdesk will be used by our internal users, and is AD integrated, all categories should be available to them.

We will also be extending to external users, can I show only certain categories to these users? I do not want to give customers options that will not pertain to them or their problems.

Also in the Pro version I see no reporting option for company, is this not available? With that in mind also seem to be missing the option to add companies, as my hope was to be able to categorize external users to their company.

Please note that in the SysAid Pro edition one can't use the "company" function.
This is only available in the SysAid Enterprise edition.

Also the ability to allocate just certain categories to certain users is based on the "company" function and therefore not available in the Pro edition.

If you wish to upgrade to the SysAid Enterprise edition please update this post and I will make sure to issue you a quote.

Thanks for the response, and my account manager is working on this. Unfortunately I was told the opposite during pre-sales when I specifically said I am going with the Pro version, can I still create multiple companies...

Dear seandonnelly,

Thank you for this post.

Unfortunately there is no way to enable the Company function in the Pro edition, it is only available in the Enterprise edition.
I would suggest you to contact your account manager so that the suitable solution/upgrade for your needs can be offered.
