Hi Everyone!

I am struggling to get our custom fields to appear in a simple custom email notification. We have created the following custom fields/lists in our translation file:

sr.cust_list1=Follow-up method
sr.cust_list2=SR Custom List 2
sr.cust_notes=SR Custom Notes
sr.cust_text1=Follow-up details

I have created the following basic HTML code to send a simple email to our admins (I will be making more custom additions, but starting simple now), but I cannot get the custom fields/lists to appear properly. What is missing in my synatx? I have attached a screen shot of the email that we receive.

Thanks for your help in advance!
Mick

Hi theMickster

It seems that the tags are not correct.
For example the tag for cust_list1 is: ${custList1}.
Please use the following link, which contains all the syntax of the tags that are available in the notifications section in SysAid.

http://www.sysaid.com/help-page.htm?helpPageId=4250&helpPageName=CustomNotifications.htm&edition=2&version=v8.5.08&productId=1

I hope it helped you resolve this issue .

Ariel.

Hi Ariel,

Thanks for the heads up about the custom list attribute. I got that field to pull into the notification just fine. I am, however, still having issues getting the custom text. Is the variable ${sr.custText1} valid?

Thanks!

Nevermind, here is the solution that works:

<td><b>Follow up method:</b>${custList1}</td>
<td><b>Follow up details:</b>${sr.custText1}</td>
