Cannot import Asset Issue Date  XML

I am trying to update a large number of assets via the Asset Import function. One of the fields I want to import is an Asset issue date, but it is not available in the Field Content Dropdown box. Is there a way to import this data?

Hi Matrix-Donald

Basically the fields that are available to import are the build it fields of the Assets.
Could it be that you have created the "Asset issue date" in the entities feature?
If that is so, that is the reason why you are not able to see that field in the field content drop down list.
If you are interested that this feature will be available in the future (import fields from entities to the assets), you can submit a feature request in our feature request forum.

Asset issue date is not a custom entity. It is asset.cust_date1 in the translate table. It looks like all the other items in the translate table are available fields to import, but not the two date fields.

asset.cust_list1=Asset Custom List 1
asset.cust_list2=Asset Custom List 2
asset.cust_text1=Wireless Phone Number
asset.cust_text2=SIM
asset.cust_notes=Asset Custom Notes
asset.cust_int1=Asset Custom Int 1
asset.cust_int2=Asset Custom Int 2
asset.cust_date1=Asset Issue Date
asset.cust_date2=Asset Custom Date 2

Thanks for the reply Donald ,

You are correct these two fields seem to be missing.
Please submit a feature request in our feature request forum to add the "asset.cust_date1" and the "asset.cust_date2" fields to the import assets functionality.
