Hello,
I'm having a little bit of an issue. Right from the beginning I manually installed SysAid Agents all over the floor. Then I realized WMI is better, and so scanned using WMI and got those assets in to the system. I like how I can change agent settings through sysaid deployment. Anyway, some times stuff didn't work so numerous Un-Deploy and Deploys later, I've decided to delete all those assets that caused duplicates due to WMI and Agent.
So, anytime now, we'll have Agents showing up in the Asset List. All the deploy and undeploys were run from the Sysaid GUI. Not the administrator tool.
My question is, how can I change the settings in these "Agent" assets now? I want to change from default F11 to F7. Currently everything is undeployed, and the "SysAid Agent" is still on these machines (I think.. unless I got undeploy wrong, and it has uninstalled all those manually installed agents).
Also, does SysAid GUI "Un-Deploy" completely remove the manually installed Agent as well?
If yes, that means next time I "Deploy" from the SysAid GUI via a WMI Scan, I should not see any Agent source assets, correct?
I've gone through the deployment guide. And this isn't tackled, and also the forums.
Thanks.

Hi Mark Hamilton :
I'm a little but confused upon your current status with deploying the SysAid Agents.
Could you please let me know if you would like to change the Hotkey to Agents that are already installed?
In case you un-deployed all the Agents, and you would like to redeploy the Agents using a different hot-key, please click on the "Agent Setting" button from the Network Discovery page in SysAid.
In the pop up window that appears, choose under the "Hot Key" drop down list the hot-key that you would like to have for the Agents.
If you would like to change the hot key value for Agents that are already installed, please click on the SysAid Agent icon and click on properties.
Under the shortcut key field, please enter the new hot key for the Agent.
I hope the information has been useful for you
Ariel.

I've done this. I get two problems.
1) If SysAidAgent.exe was installed manually on this workstation, the first step of un-deploy from SysAid Server sometimes works and sometimes doesn't work. Meaning, it still shows up as an "Agent" registered workstation on the "Asset List".
2) If I re-deploy anyway, it shows the same asset under the "Asset List" twice.
But this is unrelated to my problem I posted about. So maybe after we fix the main problem, we can talk about these two issues.
