I have an excel list with all the incidents . I know it is possible to import users and assets, but is it also possible to import incidents from excel into sysaid? I see no import function.

Dear Coretek

Importing tickets is still not a built-in functionality of SysAid. You can import End Users and Assets, but you can't import incidents (tickets) from other software.

We can, however, do it for you as a special project with extra costs.

If you'd be interested, please contact us at helpdesk@sysaid.com

Thanks!
Leon

Thanks for the reply! Well I guess its about a days work so I'll just put in the incidents manually.

I use the Derby database, would it be possible to import the incodents in the database if I would use an SQL database?

Can you tell me where the derby database files and the configuration files reside? I need to backup them.

Hi coretek

In theory inserting incidents from the database is possible. But we strongly recommend not to take this action, since there is a big chance that it might corrupt tables and columns in the database.

There are two options to backup the Derby database in SysAid:

1. Please access your SysAid server web interface and navigate to Preferences > Integration > Backup.
In that page you can also set a scheduled backup to run according to your needs.
2. You can also just simply copy the database folder and place it for backup in a different located.
Access your SysAid sever and navigate to the following path "\SysAidServer\root\WEB-INF\db".
In the "db" folder copy the "default" folder, which contains the database and database files.

Thanks.

Ariel.
