Did I miss something - is there a way to create a task, not a SR, and assign it to somebody?
**important because my boss is asking me this

That should be under Tasks/Projects from your top-left drop down menu in Admin view.
Now if you figure out how to get Projects to successfully send notifications when they're supposed to, you'll be ahead of me for sure!

this does not help me at all.
I know how to get to tasks/projects. I want to know how I can assign tasks that I create to specific administrators within a project I created. I know that I can add people to the "Users" tab, is that the only option? No "Assigned To" like with Service Requests?

I sincerely apologize for attempting to help without first successfully reading your mind.

No worries.
After re-reading my original post, it was a bit unclear.
I think my second post correctly expresses what I am trying to ask here.

Does setting a user not satisfy the requirement? Just curious what it is about being able to "Assign" that would be different.

Hey Thomas ,
You can "assign" administrators to a project in the users field, manager field and "requested group" that can assign an admin group to it.
I think that adding a "assigned to" field can be a good idea as well, and you can post it in the feature request form, so it could be developed for a future version of SysAid.
Best regards.
Haim
