I use SysAid in the LAN but the need to include people outisde the site as I follow up an SR increase as the problem got more complex.
The SR initiators are always from my LAN but the people involved could be scaterred all over.
My issue is with the files user attached when they file an SR.
In the LAN it works fine... but as a hyperlink, naturally those attachments are inaccesible by those "outsiders" cause my SysAid server is never exposed to the net.
Since the common thing here is e-mail, is there a way to attached files NOT as link but as mail attachments ?
Thanks in advance.

hey Obelix.
How are you?
When you send an email from SysAid, and attach the file to the email, it will be sent as an attachment.
But the attachments in the service requests itself (and were not sent specifically with the email) will not be included in the service request, as this can create a heavy load on your mail server.
This is the reason why we do not allow this option, and you can simply copy the attachment you want to send to the outside user to an email in SysAid and send it to him.
Best regards.
Haim

Hi,
We are using SysAid in the intranet.
Our external partners do not have access to our intranet. We would like to send emails with the attachments attached instead of sending the links. Is there a possibility to ad the attachment to the mail with a little comfort.
Please help, peter

I think I am in the same boat. I want to take the internal SR and send that SR including the description, all notes, all attachments, and any screenshots directly to a 3rd party.
In this scenario (fairly common scenario) we would want the 3rd party company to take a look at the issue and all attachments. We don't want to have to manually save these files to the desktop and reattach these files to able to send out an email. Or open MS Outlook and create a new email.
