Today, I removed tomcat 7.0.2 and reinstalled the tomcat6 rpm. (No tomcat6-webapps etc)
Simply copying the sysaid.war into /usr/share/tomcat/webapps results in:-
No subdirectories are created under tomcat6/webapps/ ....

Hi,
I'm stumped at trying to deploy SysAid on an IBM eServer running Fedora 13 (i386) with JRE1.6.0_21 and Tomcat 7.0.2
With Tomcat 6.0.26 (RPM installation - with necessary chmod changes) I could not even get it deployed, as tomcat would crash upon dropping sysaid.war into the webapps directory with
log4j:WARN No appenders could be found for logger (ilient.com).
log4j:WARN Please initialize the log4j system properly.
With Tomcat 7.0.2 (manual download & installation), tomcat doesn't crash. I could complete the init-sysaid.sh script, yet upon starting tomcat, sysaid isn't at the party ...
Trying to start sysaid via the Tomcat Web Application Manager only replies with "FAIL - Application at context path /sysaid coud not be started"
This problem related to both the Free and Trial versions.
Herewith an excert from the catalina.out log file:-
