After updating to 7.0.05 we are seeing the same error with the iPhone app. Login failed for an unknow reason. If I try any other combinations of my login name it tells me that my user does not exist. Loging in via the website from the phone works perfectly.
We have the following configuration:
SysAid through IIS using SSL
No SSO
Are there any other steps to try? I did not see a new version of the app in the AppStore.

I thought this would be easy enough, but I am stumped. We need to move our database to a new server and are having issues. The database has been restored to the new server, but the webpage is unavailable when restarting the service. Here are the steps I have taken:
Stopped SysAid Service
Backuped up current DB
Restored to the new DB server
Created SysAid service account in AD (we want to move away from SA)
Created SQL login for the Service account and provided DBO rights to SysAid DB
Modified the serverconf.xml file with the new DB server info (left password unencrypted)
Started the SysAid Server
Page cannot be displayed.

My issue is that as soon as you help someone in the family, they latch on. I am fine with answering a few questions here or there, but I refuse to become T1 helpdesk for the entire family.

We are having the same issue with logins as stated above. We are not using SSO, but are hosting the front end through IIS. Our passwords do not include special characters.
Are there any logs that we could provide that would be helpful?

I am currently running IE 8 in Windows 7.
It appears to fix the issue if Compatibility Mode is turned off for the site. I will keep this updated as we have more experience with the program.

I am trying to exclude the SysAid site from compatibility mode, I'll let you know how that works out.

When in a chat with a user, all windows lose focus to the chat window continually (every 1 - 2 seconds). This continues to happen even when minimizing the chat window. The chat window does not do this while there is not an active chat. I did not see any settings to change this action... We are also running Win7 if that makes any difference. Thank you in advance for your time and have a great afternoon.

Very nice.

IMHO the icons are alright. They play little to no role in quickly accessing where you need to go. I agree that they don't 100% correlate to where they are assigned, but with how many items are in each category I can't imagine that anything would be a perfect fit.

We use login scripting to push SysAid. We will typically leave the installation in the login script for 2 weeks after a new version is released. We use the login script to place the short cut in the quick launch, so you could basically do the same thing by deleting the desktop icon. I have included our script bellow to help. The installation typically adds about 4-8 seconds to the login time dependant on computer speed.

We are running 6 PCs in the office with Vista while 110 still run XP. We have had very little issue with Vista. The biggest issue to date has been printer compatibility, 1 printer requires a generic driver and one doesn't function.
We have found that the changes to the start menu tend to have the largest impact on the OS usability. It integrates the Windows desktop search into the start menu and in my opinion increases the speed at which programs, network shares or email messages can be found. Other factors which would interest me in when looking at Vista for the business are the improved scheduled tasks, task manager, event viewer and the broader range of group policy.
I don't really think Vista is the end all of the OS world, but since SP1 I think Vista is a worthwhile product. When XP was released, a lot of the same negative feedback was present. SP1 and SP2 made huge strides with the OS, and I think SP1 has made the same type of step for Vista. I've used Vista for over a year now without having to use XP for any compatibility, and would not go back to XP.
I would be interested in hearing specific issues that people have faced with Vista that were not an issue in XP.

If you have created folders for assets, and apply an upgrade rule to the / group, will it upgrade all sub folders?

We have not modified the overall look of the portal, but we did put in a requirement for the users password to enable our ability to resolve issues with user computers if they are away from their desk. This was added after SSL was implemented.

It would be nice to be able to design the end user portal in the same fashion as the administrator portal. Adding and deleting fields from the website would be much cleaner than modifying the HTML.

If you goto the integration tab under preferences, you will see a tab for ldap. The wizard is pretty self explanitory, with the host name (domain controller computer name), default port (389), username / password /domain (with AD rights). By default it will setup the OU structure to pull all users from your domain. You can drill down to specific OUs if you want to limit what users are pulled.
