We've had to remove the SysAid agent from some of our machines, which uninstalled quite happily, but now F11 does not work for any program - it was used as the default key for SysAid - ie: In Word, F11 by default used to goto Next Field. But since the agent has been removed, F11 no longer works in Word.

Is there someway to re-instate default F11 keys that SysAid has changed ?

We thought that once SysAid was gone, everything would go back to as it was before SysAid....
Im having one of those days.... where cna I find the Upgrade to 8.1 (Pro edition) ?
All the links Ive tried take me round in circles......
We're on 8.0+ and have the same issue where going to the assets takes forever.

Was a fresh install as the start of the year. Has always done this since I started using SysAid 3.5 yrs ago....... is there no single cause for it ?
Was doing some testing with importing assets and stuffed something up and now I have an asset group with a name full of random characters - when i try to delete this, the screen refreshes and the group remains.
Any straight forward way of removing this group or am I going to have to get someone to dive into the DB to remove it ?

TIA
Since upgrading to v8.0.05 Pro Plus Edition, weve noticed that one of our branches (with updated agents) seem to be sending us a lot of SysAid traffic (viewing via firewall) - I found that the settings in the deployment program was set to run the agents as a service and update every 1 minute - I set this to run on login which should drop all this traffic off - but it hasnt - its almost like the setting change weve made is being ignored by the agents, even after redploying the agents.

Workstations are running Windows 7 Enterprise Sp1 and server is running Win2k8R2.

Anyone else come across this ?
Bit of an update after some further playing around... appears that if I have domain admin rights, it works fine, but if Im only in the local admin group, Im still not able to perform the network scan.
Trying to redeploy the agent to all our systems but when I try doing a network scan (via a specific IP range) , the screen just flicks away again and Im unable to do it - if I do a Windows network scan I can deploy from the systems listed there but this isnt working for me due to the network setup here and I need the IP scan rather than a Windows scan.
This has only happened since installing 8.0.4 - servers are running on Win2k8R2.
Ah right, thanks
Is there any way to attach a file to an asset record ?

I ask as I want to start using QRCodes or Microsofts TAG to label our assets with, and having these images available in SysAid would be of help.

Studies show that banging your head at your desk isn't good for you... I would try to avoid that...

Its not good on the desk either..... (goes looking for hammer and nails)

Joseph Zargari wrote:Actually, what you're asking for is possible (and quite easy) but not as a report. If you go to Asset Management > Asset List, you can determine which columns you want on the list. Once you have established that, you can export the list to CSV/PDF. The export will only contain the columns you chose.
If you need to run that export often, you should save the asset list view as a separate view so you could always change to that view and do the export.

I hope this would help you to rehabilitate from the head banging problem

Thanks for that, Ill have a play

What fields do you need on your report?

Just need CPU speed, model, RAM, computername.
Starting to bang my head on my desk now.... trying to run a report on Asset Details to save as a CSV and it fails everytime.

"Internal error while executing report (AssetDetails)."

Ive even tried manipulating the report using iReport but when I run it, its missing half the info I need and I cant figure out how to get it to generate in a list rather than a page per asset layout....
Yeah i had a look at the report wizard but dosent seem to do what I want.

We did have the report I wanted on our old install of SysAid, but dont have it anymore

Was nice and handy to just run it and see at a glance what machines were under-specced for our needs.
Hi,

Ive had a play with exisiting reports etc but cant seem to tweak one to my requirements.

I require one that shows a list of some asset details such as :

CPU Speed (MHZ) RAM HDD Computer Name
Intel 6600 2.6ghz 4GB 40GB ABCD123

And so on...

Anyone able to assist ?

PS: Im no coder so type slowly
Hate to open an old can of worms (theyd be a bit smelly now....) but I have a similar issue.

Running SysAid 7.5.03 - have tried with FireFox and IE9 and both stall when displaying the My Network Assets list - We do have approx 500 assets but these are broken into seperate groups so the initial listing is approx 20 groups.

Can live with it, but would be nice to have it as fast as the rest of SysAid

Thanks
