I am the Network Administrator at our company. We have 3 people in the IT departement but essentially, only me deals with the technical side of the company and support. we have my boss who is the Director of IT and one programer with us.

So for myself, I am handling

2 sites (one in canada, the other in the US)

- 379 users
- 446 assets (computers, printers, switches, etc)
- 17 Servers (some of which are Virtual servers)

I offer support 24hours a day 7 days a week (we are a manufacturing company which is running all the time). And all this while handling the technical sides of different projects that we have. Sometimes, I don't even know how I do it.

Yeah I know, we need to hier someone else to give me a hand...

Unfortunately. as I said, it feels more like a webpage than an app, which means it loads assets from somewhere instead of having them all pre-loaded on the device like a real app.

Also, every single time you close and reopen the app, you have to re-arrange the filters. I just want to be able to see the SR that are assigned to me by default. I can do that, but I have to reset the filter every single time I close the app, the changes aren't saved. Also, there should be a way to re-arrange the SR in a different way as well.
Any update on this?

My main issue with this is this is not an app, but more like a webpage. We need this to be an app, just like the iphone, something of the quality and speed of other apps like Facebook and twiitter by Blackberry.
Noticed that Sysaid was available on the blackberry app store (version1.1.2).

Kind of slow. Takes a while for even something to show up.

You guys need to come up with a way to access sysaid without a VPN connection. Maybe go through the BES server to get the connection going over the cellphone signal?

A few notes/suggestions

1- Not sure how it was done but the speed isn't great. We have to "guess" where to click because the icon doesn't change when you put the pointer in an area where you can click.
2- Performances aren't great. It's slow.
3- No activities? This is a big oversight. This is a MUST for us. We need to be able to enter time description of each steps we do for a ticket. Please consider adding activities on the next release.
4- Is there any way to get some kind of notification system going? I'll give the Blackbery Facebook or Twitter client as example. If I have a new message in facebook or twitter, I get an icone AND an item showing up in my email about the notification. Once I click on that item, I am taken into the apps (facebook or twitter) at the exact location where the new notification is. This is a must in my mind to be aware of new tickets assigned to you that just got received.

In the end, I feel the app reminds me more of a web page than a real apps. Not even close to the iphone version. I'd prefer a real apps like facebook/twitter class and this would improve navigation and performances.
In the Iphone thread, there was a mention of Sysaid also being available on Blackberry. From the last info we have, the Blackberry apps was in testing. Do we have any ETA on it's release ?
