Hi Andrey,
What you need to do is to create a DNS entry on your local DNS server that point to the internal IP address. This way, when a computer query for the IP address of the URL used by SysAid, this will resolve to an internal IP address.
This is, of course, only applicable if you have an internal DNS server.

What I found is that when a user access the End-user portal through the SysAid Icon, no password is needed or sent, but the account id and serial key are sent in clear text.

Hi Nozil,
Building, Floor and cubic already exist. They should appear in the Maintenance tab of the asset. You can filter asset by these value if you want.
About linking them together, I don't think this can easily accomplish without extensive development from Ilient.

Great, thanks a lot. Do you know when the next patch should be available?

Indeed being able to search through this field is needed. We were using it all the time.

Hi Caillin,
I found that this is often caused by the service request being escalated while you're in it. When you try to save it, it tell you that it has been updated. It annoy me a lot too. I hope they will find some solution to this problem.

The history has the potential to grow quite big, is there any mecanism to prevent it to become too big?

In the last paid version (7.5.04), you can disable asset who are not-network enabled and still retain all the information from that asset. The only caveat is that you need to activate an asset to update information about it, but you can disable it as soon as its done.

I have the same problem too. Windows 7 Professional joined to a domain, but SysAid installed manually.
My version of SysAid is 6.5.06.

Hi Confi,
I don't think there's any way to do that. Users field can contain more than one user (which is the case in most of my assets) , so SysAid would'nt know which of the users is the Owner.

You can't test MySQL with the free version since this one only permit the use of the integrated Derby database.
