Hi all,
One more thing to consider: when the height is bigger than the default you'll see a white line under the "user portal" and etc icons.

It depends of several issues.
What is the company producing\doing ....
What IT budgets looked like - spending with no reason or not.
It depends on the IT dep. manager.
What are the plans for next year? Maybe integrating some expensive system that the management asked for.
We try to fix everything by our self, to look for the best prices and not to buy something is over our our need and on and on ...
Yes, I know most of you do the same.
This a very complex subject and I'm not involved personally in this, just the tech side .

I am the only IT person supporting over 100 staff around 200 computers, 7 servers and around 500 students spread across 3 sites.
I'm in charge everything from designing/administering their website to installing cabling to replacing mice. And I somehow still have time to post this....

Hi
Let me guess.
In Customize => Appearance there is "HTML Files Location ".
Copy the html folder to lets say .... SysaidServer\root\html and put your files there.
Change the path in the above setting and "Reload Templates"
This is fully reversable. Just delete the path and reload again.
Please let me know if I'm right.

I think that XP is going to be around for a while.
Vista didn't prove it self and there is no reason to upgrade (lack of apps support, hardware etc)
Microsoft "need" to prove us - the customers - that they still can make a good OS so I'm sure that it's going to be much friendlier and useful.
For the user it is going to be a big change but there is no other way. Don't deploy to the whole organization - take step by step.
We are upgrading the less problematic users from office 2003 to 2007 and every new pc gets it. The user get much more support this way than we could provide him with all the other users. It's easier to help 5 than 50.
The IT have to be prepared too for the new OS before the users get it. We have to check our apps, security settings, processes and the list can be as long as you can type ....
I see some users bringing laptops with Vista and they don't understand much of the "inside" as they didn't\don't in XP. Many users doing the same thing every day or working in Oracle\SAP magor part of the day and use the internet.
Most of the "upgrade" will happen in the IT department and the "free in use" users.
Say no to VISTA ! Look for Windows 7 betas !

Hi,
When I try to import assets from a csv file it doesn't work correctly.
Examle:Type field does nothing or in a "list view" a can see it's "Monitor" when I open the asset its set by the first type in the list.
The monitor apears to be in the "maintenance" -> "monitor" line. ???
The supplier don't apear at all.
When I tryed to import from a txt-tab delimited file it didn't work at all. It created the first asset with no data and stoped with error.
When U tryed to import from txt-comma delimited it did a wierd thing. When I open the asset, I can't go to another tabs.
In the SQL database we sew it seems that data is missing. The manualy added assets have much more values and they open normally.
What is the best way to import assets? Are they ways I shouldn't import?

I think the icons are not intuitive enough.
We can get used to them but it would be better if the icons would be "natural".
If you can open a page and right away to know who is who it's the best option.
The "makeup" is a good thing but on before the "comfort".
Regarding the asset icons.
I would expect that a program for IT will have much more categories and icons .... by default.
