We were extremely lucky. No data was lost and we were back operational very quickly.
One more pic
A high volume sprinkler head discharged @ 270 gallon per minute...... 35,000 gallons later everything destroyed. I got back from Vegas, Just installed 7.01 Monday to start testing. Monday night, Tuesday Morning 1:43am the flood came. Week before last was 115hr week, this past week was 85 hours worked. So what have I missed? Sorry Sarah if I missed any of the support emails, everything was hosed so as you can guess our email was dead. On a side note... Tape backups are great until they get wet, the the tape turns into a hockey puck!
Just wanted to say that Sysaid did an awesome job on their first conference. I have been very impressed with the whole event from start to finish. If you can attend next year make it happen! GREAT JOB!
Im looking to driving out to Hover Dam and the Grand Cannon Let me know if you want to join me. I can take a few people with me.
We are wanting the same thing. A lot of the time the end user see`s the name of the admin and then calls them directly, circumventing the help desk. With admin across the nation and different email domains for each it gets confusing
I know I am! Also I am going to try to sneak off after to see the Grand Canyon and the Hover Dam. Anyone wants to tag along I am getting a rental.
I changed my account defaults to EST5EDT in account defaults and it did not change the other admin`s accounts. Any way to do it in the database?
If I run a report of what machines have less than 1024 meg of ram I have to enter less than : 1073741824 for the ram size. Anyway around the long multiplying to get ram vaules?
This applies to users who are running a MYSQL backend:

1. go to the MySQL folder (usually under c:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.0\ in windows OR /etc/my.cnf in *nix environments)
2. Edit the my.ini file, at the end of the file, add a new line "max_allowed_packet=100M" (without the quotes and change 100m to your requested megabyte size).
3. save the changes, restart the MySQL and SysAid server services.

If anyone else has the answer for other database types please post here.
I am facing a similar challenge. Our users will call the admin instead of using the help desk system once they know who the ticket is assigned to. I wonder if Hard coding this is an option in this case. I got it where it shows " Joe Blow " helpdesk@domain.com. Somehow gotta get rid of the Joe Blow
I know the new agent was suppose to help, however I am seeing the same as you even with the new agent.
Well lets see...

Company wide IT Support
30 IT admin
80 servers
600 desktop / laptops

Soon Company wide Customer Support
100 Member Services Reps
5000 stores

I created a new view using the blue cog. However I only want that view to show the groups I specify on the group list drop-down. I know to look at the ${list.group.caption}
But Don`t know what filters to apply after that
Groups I only want to show are named: MA PC User , SE PC User, NE PC User, International
Hey guys, I wanted to get your opinion on server size for the people who have been using SysAid for awhile. We ( the company I work for) have been using SysAid at one small site for awhile now and our database has never gotten over a few hundred megs with 150 assets 40 users 10-15 tickets a day. However, we are thinking of using the product nationally and upgrade to the enterprise version. This means 6000ish users , 5000-6000 assets, 400-600 tickets daily using all packages of SysAid. Examples monitoring: ( 50-60 servers being monitored, 100+ switches/routers, several http/https monitored), Project: ( over 200 projects with up to 50 task each at any giving time) CMDB: ( all assets and software listed above)

Just don`t want to get in a tight spot and have to start purging records after 6 months. I need at least 3 years. I called support and was givin the general core duo2/ 2 gig ram/ 10-15 gig storage.
