Just ran the patch for 9.0.533. This did not fix the issue. ( At least for me it didn't.)

I found the chrome.css file, and noticed the line in question was still in the file. I manually removed the line and now we are good.

Just thought I'd send out a follow up.

Thanks for your reply!

We have deployed our agent throughout our network successfully using the Deployment tool.
Now we would like to make sure all new PCs get the agent, and existing PCs are updated as needed.

This is where our issue comes into play....

On the network discovery tab I scheduled "Deploy Agents', "Update Asset Data", and "Upgrade Agents Version". Each of these were scheduled for different days and time, and each was scheduled via IP ranges

First to run was the upgrade agent versions. The schedule ran as expected, but over utilized my network bandwidth, and shut network connectivity down in the first office. We immediately knew what the issue was, so i removed all scheduling.

Next week the schedule for "deploy agent" was started, and same issue.... Over utilized our network bandwidth. So I had to remove those schedules. On a side note, it appears the the schedule did not run according to the times set, but that's for another topic.

Questions....

- Why are these processes over utilizing my bandwidth?

- Is SysAid running a full deployment on all computers even though they have the agent already?

- Does sysaid check that the PC has the agent before it deploys? Or does it just blast it out on the IP range?

- Is there something that can be done to prevent this over utilization?

I appreciate any feedback in this matter.

Thanks for your help!

Is there any way of including the attachments sent into SysAid to be included in the email admins get for the SR?

Thanks
Is there any way of tracking purchases within SysAid or the Asset management module?

We are looking for a Purchase Order system or something of the like.

Any suggestions on how to use SysAid for this?

I think it would be a good feature to have in the program.

Can you point me in the direction of these threads.

When I do a search i come up with really old posts.

This is a major problem that needs to be addressed if it is a common issue.
We have been using email integration since using SysAid 5.0, and it has worked seamlessly. Recently we have noticed email integration periodically stops working since we upgraded to 8.5

If we send an email to "helpdesk", we can see the email leave the mailbox, but a ticket is never created. If we restart "SysAid Server" service, email integration works normally for a period of time.

Any thoughts on this?

I thought about having the service restart every night using a scheduled bat file using net stop/net start, but the bat file stops "SysAid Server", but cannot start it.

Thanks for the help!

I have plenty of assets with software listed.

Box still comes up completely blank, as if the window is not loading.
Using v8.5.05 Pro Plus Edition

I am trying to add a new software product to manage and view how many computers have the software installed.

When I click Select by Install names a new windows pops up, but does not show anything; just a blank window. There is no way i can select a software title.

Any thoughts?

I have many computer assets listed in asset management, with multiple users listed. I started noticing that the users listed are incorrect on several machines.

Yesterday I deployed the agent to a freshly imaged computer, and only two people have logged into that computer....myself, and the user i gave the computer to. However there are 5 or 6 other usernames listed on that computer.

I have now just noticed as i write this post there are many items in the asset inventory that is not correct:
-the computer model incorrect
-SN incorrect
-MAC address incorrect

However the following is correct:
-hardware
-software
-one of the users
-computer name

So my question is ....how is this information gathered? Does SysAid look at AD, DNS, WMI, etc. I know it uses WMI because of those scans, but i did not use that...I deployed the agent.

I can tell you our DNS is a bit messy. The records have not been scavenged, and there are a lot of bogus records. Our AD also has a lot of computer object that are no longer existing. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

When using using asset management scans, how do i use the exclude IP list field? Do I enter the path to the CSV file?

The help file is a bit vague.

Thanks-

Evan
We have account managers?
My java right now is at 385,832. Only two admins are in the system.
Just wondering if a memory upgrade would help this issue?

Anyone know the server requirements for 8.5
I think they are getting overwhelmed with this new update they put out.

Only thing i can think of. Supoprt has been delayed. You are better off coming into this forum and asking for help.

What's your issue?
