I have quickly gone through the scenario. It seems to me that admins can approve even if the action item is assigned to an end user.
Might be wrong, but that is what I found doing a quick test.

Hope you get this solved!!!
I am sure the support team will be able to find a solution. I think they are very busy with the 6.5 issues at the moment.
The support team at SysAid Technologies is great!!!!

I have ensured the user is attached to the asset. I also made sure the agent is updated.
I initiated a chat. The end user did not get a notification.
I also noticed the account id in the URL is Hanan and not the account ID of the company. This is on the end user workstation chat window when they initiate a chat.
The end user window opens but does not display anything.

Apologies. I can not assist you with this one.
Maybe Techguy could help or send a request to support@sysaid.com
There might be a way to do it by using some html code in the submit service request html file.

In SysAid 6.5, coming in a few weeks, the KB items will related to the SR will be displayed to the end user as they type the title.
Not long to wait. Then your problem is solved.

Why would you want the users password?
Do you troubleshoot when the user is away from their workstation?
You can troubleshoot with the SysAid remote control tool. You shouldn't have a problem if the user is logged on??
Maybe I am not understanding your requirement??

This is usually not a problem to switch the third level off and on.
Are you sure you saved the settings? I have just tested it in the 6.5 beta as well in 6.0.09. It works fine in both instances.
Maybe restart the SysAid Server Service.

I would like to assist on this one.
Does the all admins need to see the info??
Staff?? End users or other Admins?
Are we talking about the Service request record or the supplier record??

Limiting the categories by the group can not be done the same as limiting them by company.
However you can build some smarts into the end user portal to notify a user that they are not authorized to select the specific category.
You can use a IF statement to evaluate the category selection and the user group. And then provide the user with a message.
Something like this;
#if($sr.getCategory()=="Category")
Text to show when you select the above category
#else
$sr.getCategory()
#end
You will also have to add the user group to the statement.

Techguy,
I think you are being ia bit unreasonable. Yes there are still some bugs in the system.
Take in consideration that there are many other software packages out there which can only be used with a specific browser!!!
I am sure Oded and his team is working hard on fixing the existing bugs at the same time keeping SysAid fresh and innovative.

Do you have any unassigned service requests in SysAid??
|
|
|
This done in the translate file. You can download it from the preferences>customize>translate tab. Edit the translate file with notepad. Make the changes to the text and then upload the translate file.
NEVER change values in the translate file which are in front of the equals sign.
Search to this text in the translate file
endUserPortal.title
Change the name to what you want.

There are various other ways in SysAid to change the Urgency.
Can you maybe provide the scenario.
I can then maybe advise better.

I don't think this is possible. They can however use the mobile page in SysAid. This page was designed for mobile access. You can remove the fields you don't want on there and maybe just show the Solution and Status fields for the engineer to complete.
This will work if your SysAid server is available from the internet.
Let me know if you have problems with this one and I can send you the solution.
