Hi,
There is a bug regarding this issue (#8838 ).
In the meanwhile you can use a simple workaround.
Instead of write the following link:
<a href="http://www.yourlink.com" target="_blank">Hyperlink</a>
Add one space before the "Hyperlink"
<a href="http://www.yourlink.com" target="_blank"> Hyperlink</a>

The owner field has been added to the the search mechanism.
It will search only for the user name and not for first / last name.
Will be released in the next patch.

Currently, the maximum records number in the table is 100,000. If there are more than that, the oldest records will be deleted every 12 hours leaving the 100,000 last records in the DB.

Hi All,
We were investigating this issue and we were able to find the problem that cause the connection failure on some of the Win 7 machines.
A new agent will be released next week. We will send you all a notification and we will ask you to help us by testing this new agent on your site.
Hopefully it will work in all cases.
This agent will include the fix for Windows 7 for SysAid 6.5. In a few month we are expecting to have a new SysAid release, 7.0, with a new version of the remote control tool which will improve the RC performance and will fix some known issues as well.
Thanks,
Asaf

Dear SysAiders,
I would like to use this Lab forum to ask for your help with the following issue:
We try to identify leading manufacturers that can be trusted and use their serial number as a unique ID in SysAid.
We would like to add Toshiba to the list and need your assistance in trying to find out as many formats as possible that Toshiba registers themselves in the Windows Registry.
If you have Toshiba laptops/workstations and they are listed under your asset management, please reply to this post with the results:
1. Access the your Toshiba asset from the asset list.
2. Go to the URL that appears on your browser and Change the CompInfo.jsp to CompXML.jsp
3. This will show you the XML that is returned from this asset.
4. Now search for the row containing <agen:smbiosSystemManufacturer> and please post the results here.
Example results:
<agen:smbiosSystemManufacturer>Dell Inc.</agen:smbiosSystemManufacturer>
Example screenshot attached as well
Thanks for your assistance !

Hi,
This field is not in use for now. It will be removed from the reports in 6.0 release.
In addition, in 6.0 release we added a SNMP engine,
hopefully in future release we will be able to use this field to get the page count from printers.
Regards,
Asaf

We are working to improve SysAid support in the following browsers: IE 7, IE 8, FF 2, FF 3 and chrome.
You can expect in our nearest release (5.6 beta) some improvement in all of them and mainly in the newer browser's releases.
We will appreciate any GUI bug report when this release will be released.
Regarding the difference between IE and FF , the width of the columns in the HelpDesk list is been calculated by the browser according to the given width of the browser and the total width of the columns that your selected view display. FF and IE are doing this calculation differently. We can force the width of each column but we will lose flexibility.
