Our SNMP discovery hasn't picked up anything for a while.

In the discovery log tab i noticed that "Discovery Service" is blank, however it is definitely set in the scheduled scan.

I think this started after an upgrade to the server around May.

If I "Run Now" for any SNMP scan it creates a line in the log tab, but if I check sysaid.log and SnmpAgent.log there is absolutely nothing recorded.

Anywhere else I can look to figure out why the scan is not doing anything?
I can see everything correctly in the SysAid calendar.

All of the software expiry dates are missing from the Outlook calendar.
We have set up Exchange Sync with Exchange 2010 and everything is working perfectly.

The only downside is that for all the existing software in our Assets... unless I change the expiry date it won't show up in my calendar.

Is there a way to force all of the software products to show up in my Exchange Calendar? Or do I need to go into each software product one by one and update the expiry date (tedious!)?

EDIT: i should elaborate... we set the expiry date for all our software products months ago (before we set up exchange sync). If I change the date to something else, apply, then change it back to the original date it shows up on the calender. We have a lot of software products though, so this could take some time.
Awesome! Works perfectly!
Is there any way to pre-populate the category fields in the End User "Submit SR" page (http://<sysaidurl>/SubmitSR.jsp) via arguments passed in the URL.

For example, in the service requests list (HelpDesk.jsp) your can automatically select the drop down list filters, for example: HelpDesk.jsp?resetParams=YES&${list.status.caption}=${list.active}&${list.assigned.to.caption}=${list.assigned.to.none}

When sending a message (Compose.jsp) you can auto fill the To item: Compose.jsp?to=username

What I want to do is have a link from a page to the End User Submit Request page where the Category is already filled in, eg: http://<sysaidurl>/SubmitSR.jsp?category=11
We are looking to integrate our building services department into SysAid but want to make sure we can still easily run our reports for IT.

If we create 2 "Companies" - IT and BS... is it possible to auto assign the Company for a SR based on the Category?

Is there a better way to separate departments so they can only see/manage their own jobs?
I just get a message "The test of the exchange settings has failed"... doesn't really give me much to work with.
Update: MAPI wasn't installed ( http://support.microsoft.com/kb/978965 )
All computers are running a version 7 agent. The problem is with computers running agent version 7.0.04.

I tried updating some of the problem computers to 7.0.05 and the problem appears to be fixed.
No MSI
Thanks, i'll give that a go
Here's what i see being added under network assets:
Since upgrading to SysAid 7 around half of the new computers we deploy are being added to the asset register without all the details.

The agent is correctly adding the asset with the correct asset ID (DELL-SERIAL) and filling in the IP address and the users, but not the computer name, serial, asset type, etc. They are all showing up with Asset Type: DHCP Server.

I can't seem to identify a pattern with which ones work and which ones don't.

Not sure where to begin with this one... Is there a log file I can check to try and track this problem?
We deployed the Agent to a number of computers with the "Generate Random ID" set.

We have since disabled the random ID on these assets which has of course created a duplicate asset ID. Unfortunately we have a lot of service requests linked to some of these assets.

Is there a quick way to move all the SRs from one asset (ie: the one with the random ID) to a different asset (ie: with the Vendor-Serial id)???
Thanks for the link. I couldn't find that info anywhere!

Hopefully Department will be available in a future version.
I'm trying to modify the notification "Email body to administrator regarding a Service Request" and was hoping to include the user's department in the email.

I can't seem to find any documentation on the variable that are available to use. I tried ${Department} but it didn't do anything.

Does anyone know if it is possible to include the department in these notifications?
